Here are a few suggestions to help you get the most out of the THRIVE! discussion boards and our achievement community:

1. Participate Early and Often

Don't sit on the sidelines! Be sure to join the conversation. You can get a lot of good information from reading posts submitted by other members and the THRIVE! staff, but the best way to benefit is to get involved.

2. Share Your Experiences and Opinions

You have so much to offer! Give others the benefit of your perspective. At first, some people may be a bit uncomfortable sharing personal stories and thoughts. By creating a safe, positive, and welcoming environment, we can encourage them to lend their voice and their valuable insights.

3. Make Substantive Posts

Avoid making posts that don't advance the conversation. Take the extra minute to fully express your thoughts, opinions, and suggestions.

4. Be Supportive

Many members share their dreams, their goals, and their opinions. One of the primary benefits of being a part of the THRIVE! community is the support members receive from each other. If someone appears to be struggling - try to pick them up. If they seem to be facing a challenge - encourage them. If you find a post that you don't agree with, feel free to share your alternative view. Just remember to be courteous and considerate of others.

5. Ask Questions

If you have a question, be sure to ask it. Our members have a wealth of information at their disposal. Asking a question is a great way to start a conversation and learn more about other members and about yourself.

6. Be Specific

Press yourself to share precise information. Don't settle for vague responses or general opinions. The more detailed a response you are able to give, the more you will help yourself and others along the way.

7. Connect

When reading other members' posts think about ways you can connect them to other people, sources of information, or relevant concepts. Our community is about creating meaningful connections and receiving support as we work to achieve our goals.

8. Make the Effort

To change your life and to help others improve theirs, you have to make the effort. You have the opportunity and the resources to accomplish great things! Be prepared to work hard and to share your experiences with the community.

9. Stay on Topic

Our community is dedicated to achievement and helping members improve their lives. There is ample opportunity to get to know each other and cover a wide array of subjects, but try to avoid idle banter.

10. Have Fun

We can work hard and still have fun! Feel free to share your entertaining stories and inspirational experiences. Engaging and lively debate and content are critical to our mutual success.
